Children are always welcome at all our services and facilities are provided for them. We have children’s groups as listed below, and we also hold various events and services for children and teenagers throughout the year. Check out the events page for further details.
Little Friends – Baby and Toddler Group – 1:30pm – 3:00pm on the first and third Thursday of each month All Saints’ Church
A chance for Mums, Dads, Grandparents or Guardians to meet informally, relax and have a tea/coffee whilst their little ones play and make new friends.

Muddy Church – 10:30am – 12:00 noon every third Saturday of the month (no meeting in August)
A time for children and families to gather together and explore God’s world outside. A time to wander and to wonder, and to engage with God through nature, in a fun way.

Work with Schools
We have four Primary Schools within our two parishes. We have two church schools, Ackworth Howard School in Ackworth, and Badsworth J&I School in Badsworth. There are two non church schools, Outwood Primary Academy Bell Lane in Ackworth, and Mill Dam Primary school, also in Ackworth.
We work closely with all these schools, delivering assemblies and collective worship, in-class teaching, and support for the staff. We also host several joint seasonal services of celebration for all the schools in Ackworth, at St Cuthbert’s Church. And St Mary’s Church Badsworth hosts many services for the children at Badsworth J&I School.
